Scottish Care is the first point of contact for professional advice and support within the Scottish care at home sector. In the future we will be able to provide additional support with legal and human resources advice.

Information Updates

Member organisations receive regular e-mail alerts and mailings; have access to a member-only website to keep updated with breaking news.

Publications and Resources

Our Monthly Chairman’s newsletter will soon be complimented with a regular bulletin providing information for member organisations and managers

SCAH will endeavour to share Research reports, fact sheets and policy guidance for the the sector in Scotland and seek to develop and offer guidance on key delivery issues, and deliver initiatives that help keeps cost down through our interdependent purchasing

Professional Representation

Relationships with national and regional Government enable SCAH to represent the views of homecare providers with policy makers and the media.

SCAH members demonstrate their commitment to quality by using the SCAH logo, which is quickly becoming recognised throughout the sector.

Conferences and Events

SCAH has an annualconference, exhibition and Care Awards. Member organisations receive preferential rates of at least one-third off the standard price.

Training and Qualifications

SCAH is undertaking a work force development project

SCAH will lobby for access to funding for training and establish and create a network of training providers Link to Scottish Social Services learning networks

Disclosure Scotland

SCAH is a registered umbrella body allowing SCAH member organisations to access Disclosure checks approving a counter signatory for your company through SCAH without additional costs. SCAH members pay only the cost of a Disclosure.

Insurance

Our recommended insurance scheme has been designed exclusively for the sector by homecare experts and is only available to SCAH members.

Advertising

The public regularly use our website to find providers in their area: as a SCAH members for only £50.00 per site you can have your own Micro page listing on our website.
