Lowland Care Services Ltd (LCS) is a major locally owned provider of care services throughout Dumfries and Galloway, both to the Public Sector and to Private customers. Locally owned and managed we live and work in the area and have a tremendous commitment to the whole population of Dumfries and Galloway. We provide Personal Care and Supporting People services.
Established 15 years has been at the forefront in providing care at home services to the residents of Dumfries and Galloway. Additionally LCS has pioneered new training programmes and methods for our Care Workers and introduced new technology. All of this to provide better services more efficiently bringing real benefits to our Service Users and those who pay for these services.
LCS works closely with statutory commissioners, including Social Services and Health to tailor care packages to the individual needs of each Service User. We do the same with our Private Service User, ensuring the needed care is delivered when needed. Providing such help as getting up, bathing, cooking, toileting, making sure medicines are taken, getting to bed is helping many people live with dignity in their own homes and complements the help given by Family, friends and the Medical an Social Services.
We strive continually to put the Service User at the heart of all we do, and have developed an enviable reputation in all areas in which we offer services. In the event of something not going exactly as expected, we have a dedicated team who deal with queries, concerns and proposed changes to care plans. We actively seek feedback on our performance.

* Meal Preparation can be either domestic or personal dependent on level of disability. The position of the council, as supported by COSLA, is that meal preparation is only considered to be a personal task where the client requires the combination of meal preparation and assistance with feeding. Otherwise it is considered to be a domestic task.
