Alpha Homecare provides services to several client groups including the elderly, dementia, terminally ill, post-operative care, disabling diseases and obese. The company aims to offer a reliable, quality service that meets the needs of our various client groups, this may involve delivering a number of services from sleepovers to daily personal care to administering prescribed medication.
Our services can be paid for privately or via referrals from Social Services departments. Our staff are training to the highest standards and receive ongoing training and development. Our staff work in small geographic teams to ensure continuity of care and the best quality service for all our clients.
Clients, clients representatives and staff are actively involved in the business ensuring our services develop to the meet the needs of our clients.
In 2009 we were Scottish Care at Home - Care at Home Provider of the Year.
In 2010 we were awarded the following grades from the Care Commission -
Quality of Care & Support - 6 - Excellent
Quality of Staffing - 5 - Very Good
Quality of Management & Leadership - 5 - Very Good

* Meal Preparation can be either domestic or personal dependent on level of disability. The position of the council, as supported by COSLA, is that meal preparation is only considered to be a personal task where the client requires the combination of meal preparation and assistance with feeding. Otherwise it is considered to be a domestic task.
