Scottish Care - Regional Dialogue with Members 2010

 

Dear Members

 

2010 welcomes a new Scottish Care with colleagues in Care Homes and ‘Care and Home’ contributing to our organisation.

Serious challenges and issues confront us and we need to be prepared. 

As a first step in this preparation, Ranald Mair, Chief Executive and Gloria McLoughlin Depute Chief Executive of Scottish Care wish to consult with the entire membership on emerging national and local priorities and strategies with key stake holders including Scottish Government, Care Commission, SSSC, CoSLA and the NHS, along with a review of the Scottish Care network of branches, possible structures and other matters of importance.

We have set up five regional meetings incorporating multiple and ‘mirror’ branches, Perth and Kinross and Dundee were first to hold their event on 26th January and further confirmed dates include

 

 

 

 Glasgow, East and West Dumbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Argyll and Bute, Inverclyde, North and South Lanarkshire

 

Date: Tuesday 13 April 2010

Time: 2.00 pm start finishing by 4.00 pm latest

Venue: Renfield Centre, part of St. Stephens parish Church, 260 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 4JP. Parking is available opposite Nye Bevan House, India Street, Glasgow G2 4PF

 

Please note tea/coffee will be available upon arrival

Hopefully, you will recognise the importance of your attendance at these  ‘one off’ regional  meetings and make every effort to ensure a good turnout.  It is our wish to engage with as many members in all regions of the country in the shortest possible so thank you for travelling the ‘extra’ mile.
