Scottish Care provided seed funding which facilitated regionsl meeting where many small individual and larger corporate care providers joined the Care at Home Division .
Membership has increased to represent over 250,000 hours of delivered care hours per week.
Through the establishment of meaningful relationships with both CoSLA and the Scottish Government, the organisation is actively involved in the Scottish Governments ' Reshaping of Care' which will impact on care at home services.
Membership of the organisation is open to any provider of Care at Home or Housing support provider registered with the Care Commission. A strong membership is critical to the success of the organisation. In order to be the recognised voice of the Independent care at home and housing support sectors the organisation must represent the majority of providers.

SCAH with its partners will seek a major national review of arrangements for the funding and delivery of all social care and support services.
The time is right for social care and support services to be the focus of future major governmental review and reappraisal: Changing Lives has helped us to identify what we should be providing: what is now urgently required is further work to identify how to provide it, in partnership.
